Trained as an agronomist, Jane has worked for more than a decade for the North American Butterfly Association (NABA). Her extensive experience observing and writing about the interface of gardens and insects, with a special interest in butterflies, make her especially insightful at the intersection of habitats and wildlife. 

Princeton University Press recently published her latest book, Butterfly Gardening: The North American Butterfly Association Guide, a lavishly illustrated volume that presents essential information on how to choose and cultivate plants that attract a range of butterflies and help sustain all stages of their life cycles outdoors. Jane is currently the editor of Butterfly Gardener magazine.
